6 principles of reiki

While the Five Reiki Ideals or Principles are the most commonly known set of principles in Reiki, there is also another set of principles known as the Six Principles of Reiki. These principles are sometimes taught in certain lineages of Reiki and are as follows:

1. Just for today, I will not be angry.
2. Just for today, I will not worry.
3. Just for today, I will be grateful for all my blessings.
4. Just for today, I will work with honesty and integrity.
5. Just for today, I will be kind to all living things.
6. Just for today, I will show love and respect for every living thing.

The first three principles are the same as the Five Reiki Principles, while the last three principles expand on the focus of kindness and love towards others and the world around us. These principles are intended to promote personal growth, spiritual development, and the well-being of oneself and others.

Regardless of which set of principles is followed, they are both an integral part of the practice of Reiki and are intended to be used as a guide for living in the present moment with positive attitudes and behaviors.
